*Please note: Salt stones are a natural product with the property of absorbing and occasionally releasing moisture from the surrounding environment.

The appearance of a small amount of saline liquid is therefore a natural characteristic of salt stones and does not constitute a material defect. This phenomenon can be minimized by thoroughly drying the sauna after use.

Should any residue form on the wooden surfaces, it can generally be removed easily as follows:

1- Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth and warm water (if necessary, a diluted solution of vinegar and water—e.g., 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water—can be used to dissolve salt residue).

2- Dry thoroughly.

3- If necessary, the area can be lightly “refinished” by sanding in the direction of the wood grain using fine-grit sandpaper.
